Sujet
- Background: The nuclear pore complex (NPC) is a structure that spans the nuclear envelope and provides a conduit between the nucleus and cytoplasm for the nucleocytoplasmic transport of macromolecules. The main components of the NPC are nucleoporins. There are about 30 different human Nups that have been identified. Human Nup35 is the 35 kDa ortholog of the yeast Nup53p. Nup35 is also referred to as Nup53 or vertebrate Nup53. Nup35 is a component of a NPC subcomplex that contains Nup35, Nup93, Nup155, and Nup205.
